Halima studied Biochemistry for three years before obtaining her Bachelor of Science Education Degree in Biology Education. She is currently undergoing a Post Graduate study in Guidance and Counselling. She is passionate, and has over the years, devoted her time to children, women, youth and the vulnerable group, especially focusing on Gender Based Violence (GBV). Halima has extensive public and private sector practical experience in the areas of social development, humanitarian assistance and poverty alleviation at international, national and community levels, spanning several years.
As an accomplished and compassionate social worker, she has worked with several orphanage homes and Internally Displaced Persons across the length and breadth of Nigeria. She has also partnered with various International and National Governmental and Non-Governmental Organizations in delivering social development programs that have positively impacted women, children and youth in the targeted communities.
Her mission is to empower women, children and youth for self-sustainability and influence policies that affect them, including reducing risks of Gender Based Violence.
